ACO World Amateur Chess Championship 2021
Rhodes (Greece) / 17 - 26 July, 2021

ACO is the organizer of the chess tournament ACO World Amateur Chess Championship 2021 and arranges accommodation (with breakfast, light lunch and dinner) for all participants in 5-star Sheraton Resort Rhodes (Lampsa Hellenic Hotel S.A, Ialyssos Avenue, Ixia, 85101 Rhodes, Greece). The contractual partner for the accommodation is the hotel.

The arranged hotel booking and the registration for the chess tournament take place in two separate steps:

➡  Enter the data for yourself and any accompanying persons below.
➡  Choose your room type and, if desired, extra nights.
➡  We will forward your request to the hotel and send you an email after confirmation.
➡  Please also check your spam folder in case you did not receive the email.
➡  Afterwards you will receive a separate email with the link to the registration form for the chess tournament.

Flexible cancellation conditions (Exclusively for ACO participants!)

✅  Free cancellation of the hotel booking until 20 days before the date of arrival.
✅  Cancellation 19 to 14 days prior to arrival date will incur a 50% cancellation fee.
✅  Cancellation 13 to 1 day prior to arrival date will incur 100% cancellation fee, the same applies in case of no-show.

Flexible payment terms (Exclusively for ACO participants!)

✅  No deposit is required.
✅  You pay the total amount for your booking till June 28, 2021 by bank transfer directly to the hotel.
✅  In case of cancellation due to COVID-19, all payments will be fully refunded by the hotel.

Special Clause for individual bookings in case of a new Covid 19 outbreak:

If Greece, or the country from which the event attendees are traveling, issues a regulation, advisory, notice, or warning (collectively, a “Notice”) advising travelers to avoid travel to Greece, avoid gatherings of the size contemplated by the Agreement between the Hotel and the Amateur Chess Organization , or to shelter in place/stay at home as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, and such Notice covers the Event dates, then the client will be entitled to a refund of the paid deposits. The refund may be extended in the form of a voucher valid for 1 year from the date of issue or by returning paid deposits within 20 days from the date of the official cancellation of the reservation. The hotel will abide by the current guidelines of the Greek Hygiene Authorities as well as of Marriott International. The client is entitled to select one of the above-mentioned forms of refund after receiving the hotel’s cancellation notice.
